Abstract

Having a good supplier is a key to a good supply chain management. Supplier selection is a starting point to have good supplier. This Final Assignment Report examines what factors and criteria do influence PT XYZ, a garment and textile manufacturing company in Surabaya, in selecting its non-nominated supplier. To conduct this research, the writer employs will combine both quantitative and qualitative data directed from the expert survey (through distributing the questionnaires to the whole purchasers within PT XYZ) and in-depth interview with the purchasing manager of PT XYZ. The quantitative data will be determined and interpreted using Descriptive Statistics Analysis and later will be compared with the result of in-depth interview This research is applying both qualitative and quantitative approach which involves interval type of data that are collected through distributing expert questionnaires covering 10 purchasers within PT XYZ as the respondents. The results of this study, there are only thirteen out of seventeen variables pass the validity and reliability test under Cronbach?s Alpha theory, and the descriptive analysis has proven that the most influential factor/criteria for PT XYZ in conducting non-nominated supplier selection process is the on-time-delivery factor.
