Charles Dickens (1812-1870) is one of the greatest English novelists in the Victorian Era. His works generally concerns with the social life of the lower class society that is filled with many difficulties and injustice caused by the great gap between the rich and the poor during that period of time. One of Dickens? novel that draws the thesis writer?s interest is Little Dorrit, the story of a poor girl who devotes herself as an angel of the house for her family in the middle of life?s hardship.
