    Abstract

Numerical method is one method for exploring fluid flow by detail and complicated. This method is popular in sciencetist because the easy of flow phenomena visulaization although in difficult and complicated area. Be side the advantages of this method is cheaper cost and faster. The most popular numerical menthod is CFD, this method using basic fluid equation which resolved by finite volume method. However the using of this method is still unknown directive which influence the simulation output, it is directive produced by indefinitive simulation result. this indefinitive stated by deviation between numerical result and experimental result, be side in simulation the process often unconvergent and unequal result between one and another simulation, hence it is needed a directive to manage accuration level of numerical method. This paper is going to define study of uncertainty numerical result on the characteristic of 2D bluff rectangular flow, steady state, incompressible flow compared by the result of experiment. Numerical simulation procedure mentioned in group based on agreed directive by reviewer (AIAA G-077-1998). Numerical simulation result intense influenced by grid independency and model turbulent viscous, while for the discreatization method and momentum calculation relation momentum and pressure just influencing time needed in iteration and convergence. The best viscous model for predicting the flow around bluff plate is SST-k-omega
