Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is looking for the various kinds of corrison at each stage of production of nails in factory and seeking the cause(s) of corrosion. In addition, some suggestions will be given to improve the company?s production process to reduce corrosion loss. If the condition of the raw material (wire rod) is nisted, it will lead to corrosion of the final product. The polishing process plays an important role compared to other nail making processes to cause corrosion. The condition of nails to be polished moisture content of sawdust used, the duration of the polishing process and also the capacity of the barrel used play important roles in the final corrosion process.
