This research is written to fulfill the requirement of the final project. The writers have had the internship at PT. Indra Jaya Swastika for four months and conducted the research during the internship. The writers have had the project to propose a new layout in order that the company can run more efficiently. The research focuses on how to make a good layout. By making a new layout, the company can increase its space utilization and increase the cost effectiveness. There are several theories that the writers use in making a new layout for PT. Jndra Jaya Swastika First, the theory of the proposed layout which is based on the criteria that are determined by Ronny Darsono. He is an expert on making the terminal containers. Second, the writers try to adopt from another expert, Thompkins and White, in expanding the new layout to make the company bigger. All of the research method that the writers use are historical, survey and observation, interviews, statistic, and table and graph. Here, the writers collect the data from the SIPOMAS, local intern network, and also try to find the problem of the current layout by interviewing, survey and observation. The writers have already calculated all of the data from SIPOMAS to determine the space of the storage of each customer. By interviewing, the writers can know the detail problem that the company face when using a current layout. After that, the writers propose a new layout to overcome all of the problem. To run the new layout, the company must fulfill some prerequisite in order that the new layout can run smoothly
