Abstract

This research examines the relationship of Strategic Alliance via Raising Fund and six factors to be considered (Relational Capital, Conflict Resolutions, Partner Fit, Learning, Protecting Core Assets, and Competitiveness) by trying to observe the preference of coal mine companies? executives towards the decision of choosing Strategic Alliance consideration. This study employs Multiple Regression by using statistical package for social science (SPSS), the result for this study indicates that there is linear relationship between Strategic Alliance consideration and the six factors to be considered; with `Partner Fit? being the most influencing factor as well as positive relation factor toward Strategic Alliance consideration. The result is consistent with theory of Transaction Cost by Williamson (1980), which states that Strategic Alliance gives tremendous advantages to the company. The other possible factors that affect Strategic Alliance consideration - beside the six factors - are macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, political situation and other internal factors such as management team capability, etc. These all factors. should be combined with the six factors in order to make the best possible decision in Strategic Alliance via Raising Fund.
