        Abstract

        Many students experience difficulties when learning Mathematics due to a lack of understanding of the concepts of the material being studied. This study aims to determine whether the peer tutoring method can improve understanding to Mathematics concepts of Statistics. This research method uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model. Data collection methods were carried out through observation of learning implementation, observation of student activities and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis through observation sheets of learning implementation and student activities, test results and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of learning in cycle II obtained a score of 94.1%, student activity 93.3% and average learning outcomes 80.93 with classical learning completeness of 87.5%. Based on the data, it is concluded that the application of peer tutoring method can improve students activities and learning outcomes.
