Abstract

The fluctuation of the mutual fund's Net Asset Value has becoming the major concern by investors in investing their fund in the mutual fund. The example of the collapsed of the mutual fund Net Asset Value last September 2005 was confusing many investors. Based on the result of the Quantitative analysis which has been done by using the SPSS, the collapsed of the Net Asset Value was due to the increasing world oil price which cause the risen of exchange rate between US Dollar and Indonesian Rupiah. This affair resulted in the mounting level of interest rate which made the government had nothing option left to choose except increasing the level of interest rate in order to push down the level of interest rate and make more Rupiah circulated in the market than US dollar. Many of them did not really know what was going on at that time.
