Abstract

The aim of this paper is to identify the level of productivity for the production department during the period of December 2005 until January 2006, evaluate the current production process based on the related variables and locate the causes of the inefficiency inside the production process using objective and rational method of productivity measurement. The writer uses combination of primary and secondary data by conducting direct survey and interview to obtain the overview study of the current company?s conditions combined with documentation data from the management of the company. The result of the research can be concluded that there is verification that the production process of the company is ineffective and inefficient and it is very essential to perform continuous improvement for the company, specifically in the production department. Suggestion and recommendation for the company is stated in the last part of the paper regarding the strategy to execute the continuous improvement in the future.
