A Good office layout can increase productivity and communication between user. Michel
Foucault introduced a principal to growth of surveillance and disciplinary power alongsite the
utilitarian logic of early capitalism called panopticism. Financial Administration Bureau is function
to coordinate all kind of university’s financial administration. All the university’s important
documents were stored in this bureau. As one of the important bureau, this bureau should get
the most attention of security, control and disciplin. Panopticism should applied in the bureau’s
office layout. To know the implementation panopticism in financial administration bureau
become the purpose of this research. Overall, this research can be categorized as a qualitative
phenomenology research. As the result, the panopticism has been applied in the financial
administration bureau.
