Abstract

Online speeches are the most tangible and valuable sources of authentic materials for speech models. As a case in point, one of Barack Obama’s first-term presidential campaign speeches entitled “Our Time for Change has Come was chosen and used to support the teaching of English public speaking. The videocast serves to become a good model of a political speech in the real world of English.
