Abstract

This paper is an atttempt to explore and elucidate Obamas employment of some effective rhetorical devices for underscoring his significant points of persuasion in his Presidential Announcement Speech. On top of the maximum effort of getting across his lines of thought and political platform to run for the U.S. President, Obama underscores his persuasive messages by employing sound bites, sound devices, and message amplification in the prepared text of his speech.
