IDENTIFIKASI UNSUR LOKALITAS DALAM PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR METAFORA PADA DESAIN MASJID APUNG AMAHAMI DI BIMA

Amahami Mosque in Bima city is one of the buildings of worship that uses the concept of a floating building above water. The mosque, as an architectural design works, has more than just a function of worship. The role of architecture can be extended to tourist attractions, city gates, city icons, and so on. The mosque, which was designed by a team of Architectural Community Servants at Petra Christian University, is one of the architectures designed with these various objectives. In its design approach, this mosque departs from the paradigm of a mosque as a generic dome building, but finds more value from the local architecture of the Bima city, as well as completing the site context with its condition in the form of a floating building. This study attempts to describe and identify the metaphorical approach based on local architecture applied in it. Metaphoric architecture is an architecture that uses parables from the ideas of other objects. The purpose of this study is to make the design approach easier to understand, as well as to be useful for designs with similar contexts in the future.
