Abstract

This Final Assignment Report is written to reveal how to create an excellent training course for growing companies in Indonesia by using Problem-Based Learning approach. The research method used in this report is Descriptive Research as the writer collects data - the how-to process - to answer the stated problem. In this report, the writer explains the way to create the professional development course step by step and in some detailed, comprehensive points. A real training course is also discussed here in order to give a practical and real example to the readers. It is expected that by doing so, the readers will be able of better understanding the method discussed and be capable to create a training course based on the explanation and example given. The key success factors in creating an excellent professional development-training course are instructional strategies: design, development, and delivery of the course itself A competent, experienced course designer will be a value-added. Another key point is the method of success measurement of the training, which needs careful consideration. Although Problem-Based Learning is still uncommonly used in professional development training - partially because it is still a relatively new concept - this method is indeed promising.
