Abstract
Modern developments encourage designers to create designs that are not easily consumed by time but still attract users. Interesting means answering design problems such as space needs, space desires, even spatial concepts. Not only that, designers are also required to create designs that increase work effectiveness and productivity, but are not easily consumed by time. Therefore, smart technology design is one solution that answers these problems, with adaptations from smart materials, devices, to sensors and prioritizing user comfort and space comfort. Similar to existing design developments, the development of the retail business in Indonesia is also growing rapidly. This has had impacts such as competition between businesses and changes in buyers shopping habits. Therefore, each retail business is expected to have its own strategy and appeal in attracting consumers. This research was carried out using a design with smart technology applied to the Glory Jaya Stationery Store, which is a stationery and office retail store. The design methods used are understanding, observing, point of view, idea, prototype, testing, storytelling, piloting, and business models. The aim of this research is to answer existing problems, namely by producing a stationery shop design that is comfortable and can attract the attention of visitors, as well as implementing smart technology. The results of this research are 1 set of interior designs with the application of smart technology that can help increase the comfort of space users, as well as increase the attractiveness of retail stores.
