This study aims at analyzing the readers? perceived meaning through the lyric of theme song namely "Come on You Reds" from Manchester United football club and also analyzing the perceived meaning of the term that mostly shows up in the lyric. To analyze the readers? perceived meaning, this research will use the theory of frame as the main theory to analyze which set of background knowledge that exists in memory to comprehend something. As a result, there are different answers that can be found from this lyric and it came from the intepretation of the fans who become the respondent of this study. The findings express about the spirit, pride, motivation and inspiration of the theme song as perceived meaning by Manchester United fans. There also a counting in the findings which is used to count the perceived meaning of term that mostly shows up in the lyric, the results of the counting may vary depend on the comprehension and interpretation of the fans who already answer the questionnaire for the instrument to collect the data. These findings are based on the readers? perceived meaning of the lyric based on their bakcground knowledge.
