Abstract
Understanding mobile generation in Indonesian context requires more than just present huge number of users. As indicated in the mobile media and communication studies, mobile should not be seen literally as mobility of users, but rather the context where communications occur. This essay provides a perspective of how this mobile generation define themselves using the framework of medium as the extensions of man. How they perceive the world is arraying from the multi-activities, time and space ordinance, mobile media as a key card, and the mobility itself. To sum it up, this self-centred saying would best describe them: if you are not mobile, then you are not part of us
