Abstract
Corporate governance is the control and management of the company with the aim of increasing the prosperity and accountability of the company, in order to realize shareholder value. Weak corporate governance can cause the company to not be able to distribute dividends. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of corporate governance, profitability ratios and leverage ratios on dividend payouts in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. This study using quantitative techniques in manufacturing industry sector company listed on the IDX and distributing dividend during the period 2013-2017. The data analysis technique used is Pooled – Least Square Regression. The result of this study is indicate that corporate governance and profitability ratios have a significant effect on dividend payouts, while leverage ratios have no effect on dividend payouts. Therefore, good corporate governance, and the achievement of high profitability will affect the amount of dividend distribution.
