Political-Religious Violence in Indonesia

In the study of social sciences, the case of the destruction of churches in Situbondo is actually the intersection between violence and religion in the midst of political repression called political-religious violence. The study of political-religious violence is relatively new bucause all this time it is still difficult to find violence literature concerned with the political-religious linkages. Studies of violence are usually linked with only political dimensions or there are also some who relate violence with religion only.
