Abstract
This study aims to determine the factors that influence consumer behaviour in purchasing apartments in Surabaya, which shows a rapid growth since 2008 to the present. Data is obtained through two stages. In the initial stage of this research, 24 factors were obtained. Then in the second stage by using online survey through Line, Messenger, Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook application obtained 110 data. By using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) technique, the study found 7 new factors, which are apartment environment, personal motivation, role and social status, additional benefits, apartment criteria, apartment location and apartment prospect; in which environmental factor has the highest contribution in influencing consumer behavior to purchase an apartment in Surabaya.
