Abstract
HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) is one of the materials used in 3D printing. Research studies and applications of this material have not been made extensively, especially in works which require flexural strengths. The purpose of this study is to determine the correct orientation to produce grippers with the highest flexural strength which can serve as an alternative material for aluminum grippers. This research indicates that orientation 2 produces the highest flexural strength at 4.16 kN with lattice fill pattern, a 75% fill density, and a layer thickness of 0.125 mm. Orientation 2 is defined as the specimens thickness parallel to the surfaces width.
